Howard Waring

Anthony Hill's great uncle Howard Waring not only served with Jim Martin in the 21st Battalion at Gallipoli, but also in the same "A" Company. The two would have known each other. Howard was later killed in France, and the family mourned him all their lives, such was the impact of the Great War on the home front.
