A full-length dramatisation of Anthony's 2001 classic novel Soldier Boy, about Jim Martin, at 14 the youngest Australian Anzac and youngest Australian soldier to die in war. The tragedy is in two Acts: Act One is Jim joining up. Act Two is Jim under fire on the Southland troopship and on the heights of Gallipoli.
"Educationally, the play is invaluable in bringing, with great sensitivity, the reality and tragedy of war into the classroom through the means of performance." Christopher Bantick.
