YOUNG DIGGER'S NEW ENDING
There's been a wonderful new ending to the story of Young Digger. On 28 November 2009 a new grave was dedicated in the presence of the Minister for Veterans'Affairs and members of the Tovell family. Edith Lock, Tim's survivng daughter, spoke movingly of the boy she remembered as 'my big brother.' Also in 2009 the RAAF re-formed 4 Squadron, and the CO, Wing Commander Dave Paddison, spoke of Digger's importance in the history of the unit. The new ending has been incorporated in the sixth printing of the book, which readers can see under the 'New Ending' link on the 'Young Digger page on this website.
